First Nations Justice

'Change the Heart' Team

H3O has a team of passionate advocates who help our church to pursue reconciliation and justice with our First Nations peoples as an expression of our faith in Jesus.

The team’s name comes from the call of senior Aboriginal Christian Leader and friend of H3O, Aunty Jean Phillips, to ‘Change the Heart’ of our nation through prayer and action. Our desire is to see Kingdom-shaped justice and shalom for all, especially in the face of continuing injustices faced by First Nations peoples.

The Change the Heart team fosters opportunities for communal listening, learning and action. We seek to build relationship and learn from our incredible Aboriginal Christian leaders across Australia, as well as building friendships closer to home with our Aboriginal neighbours on the Northern Beaches.

We recognise that pursuing friendship is at the heart of reconciliation, and this includes joining with Aboriginal Christian Leaders in prayerful and active support as we partner together in the gospel.
